Windows 98se and Plus! 98 installed on hardware:
--------------------------------------------

Asus P3V4X main board VIA® Apollo Pro133A
has 4x AGP slot
The main board will accept Intel Pentium® II/III 233~933+MHz Coppermine and Celeron processors.
I have a P3-933mhz EB "cumine" plugged in and I am using
512meg 133mhz pc133 (6ns) memory dimms . I have set the
main board jumpers to 133mhz with a multiplier of 7.0
no reason to overclock anything just yet.

a good source for Hardware (motherboards & Video cards) overclocking information

This is an excellent main board. If all this sounds good
to you, maybe you could check them out at
http://www.asus.com.tw/

The AGP video card I am using is the 3D Prophet II Ultra 64Mb DDR
I still have the 3Dfx Voodoo5 5500 for those 3Dfx sessions 8^)
Promise PCI ATA100 controller with IBM ATA100 30gig and Maxtor ATA100 20 gig.

USR sportster V90, external modem
Kenwood true 72x cdrom
HP 9300 cd writer
® Just Cooler' dual cooling fans mounted in a 5 1/4" slot

My other PC system:

ASUS VIA® Apollo Pro133A AGP mainboard P3V4X with 733mhz BE cpu "cumine"
has 4x AGP slot
memory is PC-133 sdram 512meg

The AGP video card I am using is the 3D Prophet II Ultra 64Mb DDR

note: in order to get this Herc card to work - I had to remove all maxtor HDD's and replace with WD's
on top of that I had to dump my fav Logitech trackball and go to the so-called cordless Logitech
Trackball {which really just has a small 'gap' between the business end and the receiving unit}
now I can say this PC configuration is stable {6.35 or 6.5 drivers}.
You know; I had forgotten about all the mish mosh tweeking and troubleshooting
I used to have to do until I switched to the Voodoo's -
But just where the heck we supposed to go now ? with 3Dfx gone and all ??
Gawd I dread having to have to purchase the 3D Profit III
One can only speculate that the InfiniteFX engine supports the Glide api (as in FX). - seriously ! I'm stuck up here at the top of the video card mountain
know what I mean ?
I bet you do 8^)

70+ gig total for the HDD's.
